Rolex Rankings No. 7 Suzann Pettersen became the third player to win back-to-back events on the LPGA Tour this season, as she captured a three-shot victory at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship. Pettersen shot a final round 3-under 69 to capture the come-from behind victory over Rolex Rankings No. 5 Inbee Park. » Inbee Park wins Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia
Inbee Park made a back-nine charge in Sunday’s final round to beat defending champion Na Yeon Choi by two strokes at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. Park sat two shots back at the turn but carded four of her six birdies on the final nine holes finishing 4-under par 67. The South Korean posted rounds of 69-68-65-67 to finish 15-under 269 for the week and tying the 72-hole tournament record. It is her third-career victory and second in the past six starts. Stacy Lewis started slow, but finished strong on Sunday to claim her third victory of the season at the Navistar LPGA Classic. The 27-year-old Texan carded a final-round 69 to edge defending champion Lexi Thompson by two shots and complete the “Alabama Slam” with victories this season at the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic and today in Prattville. Rolex Rankings No. 10 Jiyai Shin captured her second career major championship title in dominating fashion, shooting rounds of 71-73 in a 36-hole finale Sunday to take a record-breaking, nine-shot victory at the 2012 RICOH Women’s British Open. Shin, who won the 2008 RICOH Women’s British Open at Sunningdale, finished at 9-under-par 279 and was the only player in the field this week who managed to finish under par at the difficult Royal Liverpool Golf Club. » Jiyai Shin wins Kingsmill Championship
The two-year winless drought is over for Jiyai Shin who outlasted Paula Creamer in a lengthy nine hole playoff to win the Kingsmill Championship. In the fifth playoff this season, Shin and Creamer were forced to return to the par-4 16th at The River Course Monday morning to determine a winner.

The playoff marks the second in Kingsmill Championship history following the 2007 tournament where Suzann Pettersen defeated Jee Young Lee in three-holes. Read More »

Fifteen-year-old amateur Lydia Ko made history on Sunday becoming the youngest player to win in LPGA Tour history with a victory at the 2012 CN Canadian Women's Open. Ko, who 14 days ago claimed the U.S. Women's Amateur title, sprinted to the finish line with a back-nine 33 that included five birdies to win Canada's national championship at the age of 15 years, 4 months and 2 days. Four-Year LPGA Tour veteran Mika Miyazato became the sixth Rolex First-Time Winner of the season at the Safeway Classic Presented by Coca-Cola.

Despite a lot of movement in the leaderboard on the Ghost Creek Course at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, Miyazato fired rounds of 65-68-70 to capture a 2-stroke win over Brittany Lincicome and Inbee Park. Read More »
