| Should Golf Be in the Olympics How do you think a PGA TOUR player would answer this question. If you could win only one or the other, which event would you rather win, the US Open or the men's golf Olympic gold medal? Conversely, how do you think a LPGA tour player would answer this question. If you could win only one or the other, which event would you rather win, the women's US Open or the women's golf Olympic gold medal?

I've lost all interest in the Olympics, it's supposed to be (or was) about amateur athletes, not who makes the most money or is tops in their field. Will anyone even remember if "so-and-so" wins a gold medal now?

I think it depends a lot on which country the player came from for a start. And I reckon once a player has won the USO - most would then prefer an Olympic gold to another USO title.

The fact that the question of - 'which would you rather win ?' - needs to be asked in the first place,is just another reason why professional golf has no place at the Olympics ... Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |

That's akin to lobbying for the inclusion of (American) football, then sending a representative from the Detroit Lions... Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |

Are you talking about winning one or the other in a specific year or ever in their career?
These kind of broad hypotheticals cross over into the realm of fiction. And, also, of course, this scenario would never happen, so what's the point? |

What is wrong with that? God, you guys hate the Olympics a lot. Are you jealous that you can't play in the Games or do you view it as a Communist conspiracy or what? |

If you had bothered to read what I wrote before going into full-on rant mode, you would realise that I wasn't questioning the lobbying process ; I was questioning one of its lobbyists. Oh,and I always enjoy the Olympics, but feel free to keep misrepresenting my position on them... Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |
