Hi Putter

I 1st saw Paige....watching her on TV....play in the 2006 Curtis Cup....I also like Taylor Leon who was on the team...Taylor seems to be a quiet young lady.

I wish I lived in Oregon in the of summer 2006....it was a good year to watch women's golf.
Curtis Cup....Bandon Dunes
Women's Am...Pumpkin Ridge
Safeway....Columbia Edgewater.

I did go to the Safeway and watched Paige.....also got to speak with her parents....her Dad said they were in negotiations on an endorsement....must have been Nike...as Paige was in the Nike stable for 3 years.
I'm glad she's now in Cleveland's portfolio.

You likely know this...Paige was once ranked as the top US Amateur.

She had a couple of years of struggle and seems to have figured it out now.

Go Paige Go.

PS....you seem like a dedicated fan.....going to the Peg too....got to luv the mosquitos!!!!

You should try to make it to the Safeway Classic....maybe same distance drive as Winnipeg.....I've been to many male and female events and IMO....the Safeway is the best run and great for the fans.
I do prefer Columbia over Pumpkin....Pumpkin is outside of Portland and it was much easier to go shopping at night in Portland (no sales tax!!!) and Columbia is by the river.

I will be bringing my daughter to Atlantic City to see Yani after many years of not seeing her since she got married. Paige and Yani used to be practice partners during the amateur days.
Glad to see you back here X.

You going to the WUSO....nice....so what job do you normally do when you volunteer?

I did maintenance in 2003 CWO...best job and easy.....drove around with a headset in a cart...... responsible to keep 6 tee blocks filled with ice and H2O bottles....and could drive around watching the pros play.....had a lady to help....but told her just to sit.....it was easy for me to work...we cruised around and had a blast.

Likely won't volunteer in 2012....I want to watch as much golf as I can...but may change my mind.

I saw the USSO in Seattle last yr and the only expected USGA event I'll likely get to is the 2015 USO just outside of Seattle. I was to play Chambers Bay in Feb...but it was 2C and raining so spent the day with my wife at the outlet mail before heading home.

I hear you have a dog? What kind?

I never wanted a dog....but the grand boys got one last yr for their Bday...they got allergic and we have him....Arthur...I think he' a Shih Tzu/Maltese/Havanese mix...not sure...but I absolutely love the little guy and miss him....Arthur and my wife are away for 6 wks in Edm till mid June visiting the grand boys.

Hey Mr,

Yep, I'm going to the Women's Open - as are others from this DB.

I'm not volunteering at this one (too much socializing to do!) but usually I do player transportation - it's fun and you get to see a different side to a lot of them. You can do a minimum of 4 days, so that's usually what I do - Monday to Thursday - and I take the early shift (5:30 a.m.) and I'm done by noon, so still lots of time to watch golf in the afternoon. I've already applied and been accepted for Vancouver.

Yes, I have a dog - a goofy Golden Retriever named "Barley" (where'd I get that name from eh Buzz? lol).

You asked me this before I believe and I forgot to answer, but I usually play the city courses in Calgary - we go out of town where it's not so busy quite frequently. Basically I play where I can. Played Priddis once - beautiful out there but not something I can afford on a weekly basis!!

I believe the dog in question was named after John Barleycorn.....a gentleman known for his spiritual offerings.

Nothing was deleted.

Deleting an email after it's been sent to someone isn't even possible.

I'm not interested in discussing this topic any further other than to clarify how this site works.

Posts ARE available for more than six months. Moderators never delete or move posts without notice, other than spam. This post moving/deleting policy has been discussed many, many times.

Is this the kind of back and forth heated debate that members like? if not I'm ending it, enough already!

At Rusty's suggestion, I have locked this thread.

It violated the rules of mylpga.com in several ways and multiple times, most notably when dangerbob started his introduction of female posters using derogatory terms and escalating from there. Please note that I do not exclude myself as a violator of the rules since I engaged dangerbob rather than ignoring him or deleting his posts immediately.

Please also note that deleting the offending posts is in accordance with Rule #9 below.

I have deleted every post that violated the rules.

I have put the rules that have been violated in bold.

These are the rules of this site:
