Ai Miyazato from Japan has won this years ShopRite LPGA Classic. After missing the cut in the prevoius tournament the LPGA State Farm Classic, Miyazato bounced back to finished with a 64 or 7-under-par on the final day to win over by two strokes over M.J. Hur, and three strokes over Inbee Park. Miyazato finished at 16-under-par or 197 total.
Ai Miyazato is the first player from Japan to win the ShopRite Classic, and is clearly dominating this year, the win marks her fourth tournament victory for this year. Ai Miyazato took home $225,000 for winning the tournament taking her up to a grand total of $830,238 for the year. It is expected with the next Rolex Rankings adjustment that Ai Miyazato will become the next number one ranked player in the world, knocking
Jiyai Shin to number two slot.
