Everything available is still very vague. Like that web site and this one: Official Rolex Website: Rolex Rankings Neither of these will help an outsider determine how many points are awarded to a specific player for a specific finish in a specific tournament. |

Official World Golf Ranking - ranking - Retief Player Bio - 5/2/2010 10:52:17 PM If you'll notice that it is actually worse to have played tournaments from two years ago on your divisor then to have ever played them at all. Retief had a T-4 and a T-6 from two years ago and those two tournaments are actually dragging down his ranking. Points are given for results and decrease marginally over the two years until they drop off. The thing is a tournament from two years ago still counts as 1 towards your divisor. |

Unless I see the numbers, it is a secret and can be tweaked from whoever is in charge. |

All tours do not count the same.....different tours are weighted differently. T had the differences written down somewhere, and now that I could use them I can't find them. Give me a few days to look....maybe I'll come up with them. Unfortunately I have to proctor eight AP exams in the next week +, so my time is at a premium right now. But, X-man is right....the "how" and "why" in coming up with the rankings is not a secret....never was...Just complicated... Viva Anika |

I'm telling you, the point chart is on this forum somewhere, we just have to find it..... it was posted from the klpga site by a poster in an old rolex thread. I've been trying to look but cant find it. |

Regardless of who is #1 in tomorrow's Rolex rankings, here is Lorena's take on her retirement as #1. (From her Final round interview) Q: Are you upset that you didn't finish high enough to be No. 1 in tomorrow's rankings? |
