Hi Rusty -- it this is important we can do a front page poll, not just yes or no but asking people how many times they play, if they travel to play, are in a league. Something like that. I can do it if you want.

I play every chance I get...and the off-season's killing me (winter in the mid-atlantic). I watch a lot of sports in general, but recently golf has been tougher to watch...I find myself recording golf, and fast forwarding through most. I'm hoping golf in 2009 will be more interesting.

Blue my questions isnt important, I dont think a poll is needed. I was interested in finding out if this category would ever be used by members here. Good to see so many golfers on the forum. Now i can ask advice on how to get my handicap under 36.

Rusty....read Annika's book.....it took a bunch off my handicap when it first came out. Now my partner, Art Thritis, is my problem.

We are a 2 player household here. High handicappers, but still love the game.

Rusty, I started playing again about 2 months ago. Had eye problem but am well
now. My game is the same as when I quit. Will need to find new playing partners
since my last group completely disbanded.

I play 1x per week during the season. Watch LPGA when possible. I attended all 4 days of the Open last year and I wish the LPGA still had a regular event in state.

I play but not competitively - just for fun. Only had 1 goal and it was to break 80. My son (+ handicap) and I took 1 week of vacation together a few years ago. On the Monday I shot a 79 and 2 days later he shot a course record 64 to a club 55 years old. He beat me by 15 strokes. A week of memoires we will never forget. We were there to witness the other persons personal best round. I also tinker with clubfitting and clubmaking, and like to 'rip em apart' and 'balance and blueprint' the set to be better than new with plastic wrap on the heads. My youngest boy plays a few times each season but never got hooked on golf to the extent of his father and his older brother. He did however have the most natural talent, but liked to split up his spare time with a variety of interests, not just golf.
