Fantasy Golf

I belong to two Fantasy PGA golf leagues Yahoo and a private PGA leauge. I am not a huge fan of the PGA but this keeps me interested in the PGA when Tiger is not in the field. Does anyone know of an LPGA Fantasy Golf Leauge that a die-heart LPGA fan can join before the season gets under-way?? One where you pick a group of players at the start of the season and stick with them for the entire year. Anyone??

I have played that format before. It may have been at that site. I am not sure if it is still functioning.

It is a simple format. For each tournament you pick a group of players. You add to your bank account the money that those players won that week.

You have a weekly tournament winner for the most money that week and a season winner for the most money for the year.

The limitation is that you can only pick a player four times (so you can't just pick Ochoa or Shin each week).

It is a simple format play.

What does everyone else think about it? Would you like play this format instead of or in addition to our format.

If we have enough interest, given a little time I could create a simple web site to do it or we could just track it in the forum.

The season is set to start Feb 18.

That looks an interesting concept.

Do you do it in some kind of draft order ? Or is everyone free to choose the same golfers ?

The first week of the season everyone would choose Ochoa,Shin,Creamer and Wie.

Well,almost everyone...

The way this simplified system works is that you are free to choose anyone that is playing in that tournament. However over the course of the year you can only choose that player 4 times. If you added a draft and trading, then it becomes very complicated to maintain, without software.

This system is more of a seasonal contest.

However, our contests are concentrated on the weekly tournament , of course culminating in a seasonal winner for those the play the whole year.

The nice thing about or contest is that you can come and go as you please for the week.

I am planning to use the same format that we used last year except that in stead of 15 groups of 3 it will be 10 groups of 3. This will make for easier scoring and for closer competition. I have a new automated scoring system that should make it easier and produce better statistics.

You can go here. This is what you are looking for.

Let me know if you want to start your own group. It's for PGA though.
