P&G NW Arkansas?

This is a little odd, male and female first tee participants playing with female pros in an LPGA tour event.

How are they going to handle the tees? Do you think that the males will play with the pros from the tournament tees and the girls will play from a shorter set of tees?

The First Tee participants will be paired with LPGA Tour professionals during the first and second championship rounds of the P&G NW Arkansas Championship. The male and female participant with the lowest score of the best ball, two-day team competition will win The First Tee MARS Challenge Trophy.

Who knows what tees they'll be playing from? It will depend on what their age and ability is I guess....it looks like they're having 6 boys and 6 girls.

More interesting to me is ....how are they going to choose which LPGA players are paired with these kids? It seems like it'd be kinda like the Bob Hope or AT&T pro-am type event. (Which I HATE!) It says it'll be the better ball Gross score of either the pro or the Am. Huh? Sorry, but I don't really see how the First Tee kids are going to score better than the LPGA player....ok, maybe the odd hole, but seriously?

I think we need more info on how this is gonna work.

Anyhow, I'm sure it's all for charity, etc., but I'd hope it won't be distracting to the actual event for the 12 pros chosen to participate.

Hopefully, only LPGA tour members are part of these teams, I wouldn't want Lexi to be paired with one of those young hackers, male or female, heck, she might even be younger than some of them.

Let's take the absolute worst first tee golfer and put her or him with Wiesy, that way, they screw up her game and make it easier for Lexi to win my mini-money contest.

Actually, I wouldn't consider the kids who are picked to play in this thing to be "hackers." I'm sure they've picked the best of them.

As I said, it'll be interesting to see how it's decided which 12 pros are going to participate in this thing.
