You get Bass ale in the Old Dominion ? It's an acquired taste, and certainly puts my consumption of bog-standard,on-tap,cheap,Aussie lager to shame.

Sakura Yokomine is Japanese, and she wears knee-highs;and,of course, being Japanese and wearing knee-highs are two of the qualities I admire in a woman.

She's next in line, after Ai Miyazato and the divine Momoko,to make her mark globally.

Perhaps she'll be able to do it in those ten new events the LPGA has planned for 2011...

Bass ale in the Old Dominion? Heck yes we have Bass ale..... and if you think thats cool, we just got indoor plumbing and false light about a month ago.....sweeeeet!!!!

I gave up the Marlboro's a few years ago but enjoy a fine Cubano#2 every now and again....

Sakura Yokomine is not only super hot ( and wears knee-highs).....but has the coolest swing and would be huge on the LPGA tour.

SJX....If you get time check out people of walmart.com

Saint J..... Not sure exactly which other English beer/ale is available in the "Old Dominion," but in the USA in general, one can find a large assortment of English/Irish brands.

As a beer connoisseur (ahem), I have been required to sample most of them.

We have Guinness, Smithwicks, Harp, Bass, Boddington's, Newcastle (yech), Sam Smith's, and probably some others I can't remember.

Most all of them contain a widget in the bottle (or can) to help with simulating the proper draught. (No American beers contain widgets). Though it's not a perfect solution, it does cut down the 'gas' that's in bottles or cans.

Damn, and I quit drinking before all that was popular. I was stuck in the Budweiser era.

It has been twenty-five years since I've tasted the delightful Labatt's Golden Anniversary ale, or the delicious O'Keefe's Ale; But the stout of the Guiness was my favorite.

Never really liked Ale type beers.

One of my favorite beers is a German brand, Dinkel Acker. I don't think that you can get it in the US anymore.

Is that all there is!

I leave a bit over two weeks, and there is only a handful of notes/posts.... with this boring soap opera of pay for play that digresses into best beer, and its the longest one. Wow.

And only the usual suspects, (I think I can count them on two hands), bantering back and forth on the slightest of versions of vision of to play or not to play, whilst DB is on the total ignore list, as his logic color commentator words of wisdom gets lost in the stars. Man this forum sure has grown... and I can see its future if this continues... ala short.

I say again wow! What happened to the posts of the last two tournament events, the highs the lows, the players, the scoring, the course. Hey a player just won back to back, and one who had a hard time finally getting to her pressure promised fame.

Yet all that is important is cut or no cut, pay all or a few. How come? Oh.... I get it.... no AMERICAN golf player has won yet.... so its not of course really a LPGA golf event. Gee, how could I miss that... I must be getting old alright.

Ah well, I hope the JGolf event well light someones green fire.... come on you AMERICAN players.... win. This forum depends on you... all 10 of us. 9 if your missing one finger. :-\

Good rant, Greentee. It's good for a person to vent their spleen on occasion.

I do find it a bit ironic that the person who started another rather long thread about a movie should get so riled up about a thread regarding a new tournament. Maybe the "Avatar" rush wore off.

After a long layoff because of the Winter Olympics,
my twin brother Greentee, emerges from his hiding place
and starts ranting!

Heh... maybe I should take the opposite view and agree things are just fine, no waves and I stay dry longer. :-)

Avatar.... funny.... even with so few on-board, there were interesting posts in there. :-)

To tell the whole truth, (and nothing but the truth so help me GOD... and don't let a little thing like I am not religious in any way bother you), I had thought that the slow traffic of posts was that it was the off season for womens golf.... and that only a few regs were posting.... and that when the new season started, (which it really has.... though some of you may have missed it), a great many posters would drop back in, and this little corner of golf-dom would be again lively as it was.

That did not happen.... why? Only a few regs here, and the only newbie I see is selling something. myLPGA looks like it went to sleep and got hung in dream-time. Is Rusty is still on site.... or is he busy spinning dream spells down under? Anyways.... the post, (RANT), was just a brief (my) view, of all the new posts I read since my little vacation. Place seems empty now somehow, and dust keeps falling on my glasses. Were are all the other regs of yesteryear year.... and where are the new posters? Once there were hundreds.... humm.

I had thought in the down time, that some info on the Rookies would be a nice fill in, (although brief in info), and help other regs when they came back, to get to know about them. BKB was doing the same.... yet he too has slowed his postings. Now we, (all ten of us.... unless you missing a finger), do not even mention the players.... just if they should play or not.

Are all the fans here just pro American, and wish all events just inside it's boarders, (sorry... another can of worms for sure), and not interested in events otherwise? Golf is golf no matter where it is played.... even in the Arctic it would be news.... at lest in golf circles.

What I or we make of it.... sure ok. Yet with similar themes and substance in the telling, I stopped watching only Disney films long ago. Whats that saying.... the lights are on, but nobody is home.

Heh.... I do hope things well change and that this dark age of type in this forum well soon wake up and dance a little down the fairways, as the green is on the desert and JGolf is trying to bring you on home.

Maybe that is all it well take to kick you all into high gear, (that I know you all do have in you), time to wake up and get into the swing.... smell the flowers, and watch the greatest golf ladies send white and pink balls to heights not dreamed of before... and around the world. Hey, even the Robbins are out and in full song.

Anyways.... not really trying to crush egos or build mine.... just liven up the echoes in this seemingly small box. Ah well... I can only do so much, and much of what I do is eccentric and often right off the map, with little appeal to the majority of real golf fans.

I well soon be off again on one of my wild adventures.... so save the arrows for WieFan, BKB, or the old wizard who thinks women should never compete with men in golf.... or Karl, (if he ever resurfaces). If they come back.

No matter.... forum or no forum.... I well not miss this years golf over tidbit technicalities. Try to stay positive on the LPGA if you can.... they do need you.

Good golfing everyone.... even if your only a TV golf-watcher like me. Cya! :-)
