LPGA Championship?

In my opinion, it sure would be more interesting to have the crowning highlight of the LPGA season a little earlier than a few days before the snow flies. Okay, I'm from Wisconsin, so I don't exagerate, but my annual enthusiasm for golf from first smelling the flowers at Augusta have long since banished since the last leaf falling from my trees about a month ago. To me, it's very comparable to racing cars at Daytona in February and finishing the season the same week the turkey goes in the oven, yet even that generates some hype.
So the 2010 schedule unfortunately keeps the ending date at the same time of year, after all the limited-field international events, and any viewers even remotely ineterested are watching on their DVRs a day or two later, at best.
NASCAR has tried the season-ending chase for the Cup starting in September and the PGA's lame FedEx Cup does little to boost interest in Fall golf competition and here the LPGA just sort of sits back and concedes the Fall ratings with no publicity or interest building up to its grand finale.
What's wrong with this picture?

.
It would sure help if they could remove heavy rain and snow from the picture. Which generally means somewhere down south. Earlier, not so sure I like that.

On the other hand, the longer they go in the season the more football I can skip (having golf to watch instead).

This year I played golf in Minnesota in November. Then I went on a year end golf vacation, so I am/was still in the golf mood.
