The Evian Masters

They have posted the pairings for the first round, and the best pairing seems to be at 11:43 with Carin Koch, Grace Park and Lorena Ochoa. The defending champion Wendy Doolan is paired with Annika and Rachel Hetherington at 11;32.

Michelle Wie is paired with the Pink Panther and Ai Miyazato at 11:54. Is Miyazato the young Japanese star?

Did anyone hear who would be Michelle's caddy for this tournament. Maybe she will use a local who is familiar with the course.

Here is the info on Miyazato:

Ai Miyazato (born 19 June 1985) is a Japanese golfer. She won a professional event called the Miyagi Cup as an amateur in 2003. In her 2004 rookie season on the LPGA of Japan Tour she won five tournaments. In January 2005 she won the inaugural Women's World Cup of Golf for Japan in partnership with Rui Kitada.

Thanks for the link, Wiefan. I saw Ai's performance that day and was very impressed also. It should be interesting tomorrow!

I was surprised that MW is skipping the Women's Amateur, but agree with Michelle that it would not be a wise thing for her to even try it.

Wiefan, I think I just posted on that other site you gave a link for, and then I WAS SURPRISED THAT MICHELLE HERSELF was also on that thread! Can you believe it?

I was writing about her using the wrong club in the JDC on that fateful tee shot, and THEN I see she was posting on that same thread! I hope I didn't offend her!

Could it really be her? It was on a golf equipment thread.

Hi ya everybody....Annika has just made this tournament a lot more interesting...terriffic round....Paula and Christina are playing very very steady....should be a great two days....come on Michelle....let's move up the leaderboard and make things more interesting....come on BJ....let's earn some "caddy points"....just kidding....Personally, I think BJ on the bag helps Michelle....maybe not in reading the confusing greens, but in the "stablization" part of her game....anyway....go Wiesy go!!....have a great day....see ya!!
