Nancy Lopez?

I do not understand why Nancy is playing in this event. Oh I know, she can if she wants to she is in the hall of fame but my gosh, look at her score for the first round, 87!

She can't possibly believe that it's fair to her fans to see her play like a hacker, can she?

Qxer... Come on man she is a big part of the LPGA.
She doesn't enter every event. I think she is good for the folks.
I like the lady. She does great PR for them. Loads of us old folks
like to see her.

The real question to ask is:

Does here playing take away a spot from someone else? If that is the case then yes, you have a reason to complain. Otherwise if not then let her look foolish if she wants too.

But you are right, she has to know that she is going to shoot in the high 80's.

Who said experience in golf counts? I think she had lots of experience...but her body and mentality disagree!

OK, but I never liked to see Arnie shoot the numbers he did on tour either as I thought he hung around way too long. I know why Arnie hung around, his ego is so big that he can't be shamed, sort of like Bill Clinton, maybe Nancy's ego is up there in the clouds as well right along side with Arnie and Slick Willie.

The old-time fans in Rochester love to see her. If I were her, I'd be embarrassed to go out and shoot 85 when I used to shoot in the 60s in front of these same folks. She must have a strong ego to be able to do that, or else she thinks she's right on the verge of regaining her old form.

This is amazing, Nancy isn't going to finish last at 29 over par, this gal is, if she ever finishes. Perhaps she will finish her round as her last name suggests.
Anyway, I feel sorry for whoever had to play with her or Nancy the last 2 days.

Terra Posthumus, assistant golf professional at the TCP Scottsdale in Scottsdale, won the 2009 LPGA T&CP Central Section Championship to gain entry into the LPGA Championship Presented by Wegmans. She finished fourth at the 2007 Midwest Section Championship and a top ten finish at the 2006 Duramed FUTURES Tour event in Albany, NY. She graduated from the University of Minnesota and won three collegiate tournaments. She finished in the top five at the 2003 Big Ten Championship. As an amateur, Posthumus played in two U.S. Women's Amateur Championships. The trip to Rochester will be her first start in an LPGA major.

Posthumos scored 84 and 90. Doubtful she was held back by Nancy L. I'm sure their group got a bigger ovation at every hole than she'll ever get again in her career.
