Contests: Joint 3rd place overall winner 2009.
| I believe that she did earn the spot according to the rules. I also do not believe that she is taking a spot from another player, as some in the media have claimed. What other HOF member is clamoring for the position? However, just because she earned it and isn't taking space away from anyone else, this does not mean it's a good idea for her to play. She's terrible, she's not getting any better, it's tarnishes her reputation, and she's completely delusional about the whole thing. |

Saint I'm not trying to argue with you but yes I think it would be great.

Hey,if you want to see these players, that's fine ;I suppose there could be a market for it.Perhaps we should do a poll to gauge opinion ? I just can't get away from the sad reality that it's not really Nancy Lopez we're watching out there,it's a shell of Nancy Lopez. I prefer it when the great ones stay retired... ![]() Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |

Annika, yes. Lorena,no It's kind of a strawman, because you can't compare the golf game that Lorena still has with the one Nancy Lopez has. If Lorena came out of retirement within the next two years,I'd be fairly confident that she would be challenging the leaders almost immediately... Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |

I recall Carner playing here in her 60s and shooting respectable scores. I doubt age is Lopez's problem. I watched her a bit on Friday at the LPGA Champ. and some of her shots were just unreal: missing a 140-yard par 3 by 20 yards out to the right of the green, a fairway wood into a par 4 that duck-hooked into trees not even 2/3 of the way to the green, etc. I give her credit for staying in good spirits because I certainly could not have. These were "grinding" mid- to high-80s scores--she did not give up. I wonder if she just has the desire for a comeback once or twice a year and dusts off clubs that haven't seen the light of day since her last "comeback" outing.
