I have had many LPGA stars that I admired.
I now am rooting for Stacy Lewis.
I think I will always be a fan of Peanut.
She won my heart with inner beauty.
I will truly miss her.
Thanks BKB for all your reporting

Thanks BKB, a very nice report about Mi-Hyun Kim.
I studied her career in the LPGA. It brought up a lot questions (mainly one) that maybe you could help me answer. The LPGA is dominated by Asians, mostly Koreans. Money leaders, Rankings, scoring averages, etc., are dominated by Koreans
Yet, when you get to career money leaders, at least I am, for a surprise. Hardly any Asian in the top fifty:
Se Ri Pak is 6th. She still has a very competitive game, and currently is way near the top on money per event, scoring average, and many more statistics, but she does not participate in many events. If she continues to play, she will probably surpass July I. and perhaps Lorena eventually.
Yani Tseng, is twelfth. Top ranked player in the world, but with poor results this year. With a few good events she can easily make it to the top Ten. But ???? will she regain her game?
13th.Kim, Mi Hyun Retired.
Twenty to twenty two: Ai, NYC, and Hee-won Han. At least two will keep moving up the ladder.
Twenty four: Jeong Jang has been doing poorly as of late.
35. Jiyai Shin. She could reach the top.
36. Grace Park. Retired
37 Candie Kung. ??? Maybe
40. I.K. Kim. ??? Maybe
44 Inbee Park. Could move way up.
50. Seon Hwa Lee. Going out of the Top 50 in the Asian events and probably be replaced by Lewis.

OK. BIG QUESTION. Se Ri Pak is one of the greatest players ever, she has been playing golf for ever at top level. BUT, why does it seems that other Asian Golfers have a very short playing life?

No,I won't allow it ; Mi-Hyun Kim can't retire.

She'll be missed.

But going out on her own terms,in her home-town event is as good a way as any to leave the stage.

Very nice tribute that,BKB...

Wow thanks for that! I too am a long time fan of hers. Maybe after a couple of years away from it, she will miss it enough to come back. Its sad to see her go.

You are all very welcome! Just thought I'd share a picture of the Kim Mi-Hyun Golf World building. Notice the cartoon Mi-Hyun Kim's swing breaking out of a Peanut shell!
