I like taking the route thru College instead of trying to be a teen pro. Now lets see if she can step it up and what the rookie class looks like.

Winner of the British Amateur Championship this weekend. Really looking forward to the day she decides to go pro.

ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer

Leona and Lisa Maguire – twin sisters who are extremely accomplished Irish golfers – are leaving the amateur ranks and will compete in their first LPGA event as professionals at the ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer held June 4–10, 2018.

So Happy for both of them

They will do Ireland Proud

Been to this tournament a whole bunch of times. It's a great tournament to watch golf. Don't think will make it this year. Going to the Men's US Open the weekend after.

Been sick so I don't think that I can drive all the way to Atlantic City, watch golf and play Poker. Not that South Hampton is near by. Hoping to take the train to that.

Some new Ladies on tour are always appreciated. Be interesting to see if they can make Solheim cup. Could be a very young exciting team next time.

I'll say a couple of things about the two sisters' performance at Shoprite so far...

A very solid performance from Leona, she's proven that she can tango on the LPGA Tour, probably a couple more sponsor invites before the end of the year and a tour card next year.

Lisa will obviously be very disappointed at posting a +24. I don't think it reflects her as a golfer, a lot of it could maybe be put down to first tournament jitters. In any case it's not good, and while I think she deserves a second chance I can see that not happening.

What I actually think will happen is that Leona will be a full time pro from 2019 onwards with Lisa as her caddie, much like the Henderson sisters.

Yes, good and bad. This would make 4 sister pairs.

Here is a also an interesting pair. During the broadcast they mentioned that Ivan Lendl's daughter was the caddie for Jessica Korda. Not sure if it was a one time thing.
