Hi ya folks...you know, when I first read this story...I just "re-newed" my disgust with the Ammacapani Clan....I thought that the first incident with Wiesy could have been handled in a much more professional Manner....but that was Danielle NOT DINA

but now this latest fiasco now involves Dina....anyway...since she didn't take any part in the first incident, I figured that maybe she is ok....I know 4wack was her caddy for a time....and she seemed pretty nice....this is why I didn't want to bash her for this "UNFORTUNATE" situation with Cameron until I heard "EXACTLY" what happened....

anyway....here is the latest in this story

Letter: Golfer apologizes for "misunderstanding" with caddie | OregonLive.com

as to whether or not, what happened did happen as the writer wrote...we might never know...what I do know is that Dina handled this apology in a very professional manner....like I said, I do NOT Know the whole story and in every controversy, there are TWO sides to a story....people get swayed after listening to only one side, I DO ALSO, but I also like to sometimes wait until I hear the "Other" side....in this case, hopefully I do...in my mind, the LPGA Players "always " deserve the chance to explain themselves...especially since their track record of being classy ladies goes back a LONG LONG way

anyway...have a good day folks...see ya!!

Question

Wiefan,

Wait a minute, Dina didn't explain anything, she just said it was a misunderstanding.

OK, fine, but what was misunderstood?

I know you always try to see the best in everyone, WF, but in the link she hasn't elaborated on the 'misunderstanding'. It may well not be our business, but given the original article some explanation would be in order. IF the original interpretation was wrong, then the writer should also provide additional comment.

Whatever, we are left with the young guys take on it, which doesn't leave a good taste in the mouth.

Dina's meaning of misunderstanding:

"I never had a local caddie before in all my years as a pro. Boy, was I surprised when they set me up with a midget. So naturally, I requested a trade for a normal size human. Imagine my surprise when I read in the local paper that a local sports reporter criticized me for this. The media sure did misunderstand how much of a big important player I am and that I can't just have any caddie on my bag!"

Please note: I do not endorse the use of the word "midget" or the use of "normal size" to refer to someone who is of average height as opposed to being 5 foot 3. This post is a satire.

You forgot to mention he isn't Italian, that could have swung it his way.

She has had an opportunity to clearly say what the "misunderstanding" was and to give her "side of the story." She has failed to do so, so one can only speculate that she doesn't really have an alternative explanation as to what happened.

...and there were several witnesses, not just the 19-year-old would-be caddie.

There is nothing at all in Dina's statement that contradicts what the caddie said or what the Oregonian reporter said. All Dina has added is that she is sorry it happened, not that it happened differently.

You've now heard all sides. They all agree on what happened.

Your desire to see the best in everyone is admirable Wiefan, but sometimes people, even good people, act like jerks.

The only reason Dina put out such a statement that there was a "misunderstanding" is that she is getting reamed a new one on lots of internet sites and golf blogs.

Not only that, she may be hearing it from the LPGA Tour if people are emailing into them expressing their displeasure with her behaviour.

In other words...she knows she's f*(ked!

Kinda like Dr. Laura Schlessinger's statement...."It was a misunderstanding when I called black people n!g*ers!"

I'm enjoying watching Ammaccapane twist in the wind over this. Maybe it'll run her sorry ass outta golf.
