Smile Anna Nordqvist...comments?

I did not know much about Anna prior to this week. Some of you probably know her game fairly well but I have a couple of comments after seeing her play yesterday,

1. She is short off the tee considering her height.
2. IMO, her full swing looks too stiff and controlled.
3. Her putting is a thing of beauty.

Now, if she could get that rigid motion out of her full swing and in the process gain about 20 yards and couple that extra length off the tee with her gifted putting ability, this girl could be something special.

I don't think many of us know a lot about her game. This is her rookie season and she's not had much experience, or exposure, at all.

She's an Annika protege, and she is coached by Henri Reis.

I very much like this kid and hope she keeps it going today.

I didn't know much at all about her, but she's certainly making an impression.

I read an article on Anna by Beth Ann Baldry where she states, "she (Anna) gets very angry if you mention her lack of length." She is over 6' tall, but length doesn't mean everything. I think you are going to start to see a new "wave" of players who went to college and will be successful on the LPGA tour.

Congratulations to Anna. She may not be as long as some, but she certainly is accurate. Something like 33 consecutive fairways hit. What an outstanding shot into 18, as well. Very nice showing.

Now I dare to speak. :-)

Lets see.... a rookie, priority list 16.... played 1 event in 2007 tied 58th, played 1 event 2008 tied 42, played 3 events in 2009 made all cuts with a previous top tie of 17th... now she knocks of a major. I'd say that is some improving in a short time.

Is this a Princess moving into a vacant Queens shoes? Some golf players these Swedish, (fine Hockey players to).

Congratulations Rookie Anna Nordquist, and welcome to the exclusive club of major winners! Excellent golf.... you should be very proud.... when others had a chance to over take you, you went out on the last day and staked your first claim to fame and took it away from all of them. Excellent young lady. People will not forget your name anytime soon.

Again, Congratulations Miss Anna Nordquist! :-)

Great win. I'm really happy she pulled this off. She looks to be the next Swedish superstar, and possibly a superstar in general.
