I really worry that in spite of her talent and skill, does she have the experience that will keep her strong and healthy if she plays tournaments 5 days a week? Bobby Jones said something like this "there is golf and then there is Tournament Golf". I believe that to be successful in tournament competition, the competitor must have full authority over everything in their life of competiton. And I don't think that would be wise for the parents of a 15 year old to do. |

I'd be content with a rule that barred anyone under the age of sixteen from playing in a professional event. I just don't believe it's in the best interests of the child, which is what they are,to have thirteen and fourteen year old girls competing on the LPGA... Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |
