![]() ![]() | Yani Tseng's Fourth Round At ANZ RACV Ladies Masters 2011 ![]() Congratulations to Yani Tseng of Taiwan, who won back to back titles in Australia to capture not only two trophies but also the #1 world ranking in women’s golf. The 2010 LPGA Player of the Year has looked remarkable since the beginning of 2011. Can she take this hot start onto the LPGA season? The week to week competition will be tougher on the LPGA, but Yani has done about all she can do to throw the gauntlet down. Who on the LPGA will answer the challenge? Here is Yani’s final round and trophy and check ceremony. ![]() ![]() ![]()

The back and forth of number one is over. Yani is going to hold the top spot for a long time.

If Yani is putting well, Jiyai will have a difficult time keeping up with her.

Anytime, if I can find the media. ![]() Let me ask SJX and gxer, and actually anybody who can answer...does Suzanne Pettersen or Na Yeon Choi have the game to keep up with Shin and Tseng...or for that matter Creamer or Kerr? What does each player lack that would keep them from catching Yani or Shin? Is it a mental thing with Suzann? She had so many runners-up finishes...if only she could cash in more often...and what if NYC continues her strong play from the end of the year? Or has Yani crossed a threshold now that is beyond just being great? Did winning the POY give her such confidence that she just will be tough for anybody to stay with? Or is her game simply better and she's starting to realize the full potential of her talent?

NYC needs a little more time to become full time top player. Kerr, yes. All around good game. It's just very crowded at the top. Creamer could, but seems to be too injury prone. That could be a continuing problem. It has held her back from winning more in the past, but she has her first Major, so we won't her stories of the best player not to win a major. The top group is then rounded out by Wie and Ai. Yani is hot now, but those wins are in weeker fields. She runs hot and cold. I think that Shin is more steady, mainly due to her being one of the best putters. Putting is how you score and how you can keep a bad round under control. Overall expect these 2 to fight it out over the year. Also look for a potential breakout year for Michelle Wie. Well thats my handicapping for the year. |

I imagine that living across the 16th fairway from Annika and becoming fast friends with her might add a little spark to Yani's game. Viva Annika |

No,thanks,X,I won't be looking for that at all. I'll be looking more for bogus injuries, curious DQs and excuses about school. So,pretty much her usual season,then... ![]() Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |
