Yani Tseng Profile

Wait...she says she cooks and then opens up a bag and pan-fries the dumplings! That's not really a demonstrating of culinary skills...I mean, hand-making the dumplings would be a demonstration of really cooking...dumplings...jiaozi, in Mandarin or if steamed, zhengjiao...are actually easy to make, but tedious...dumplings and lo mein is a traditional Chinese birthday meal...the noodles symbolizing long life...jiaozi has two symbolic meanings, both related to money...one Chinese dumplings look like a form of old golden ingots used as money...especially when pan-fried golden brown...and the word itself sounds like a word used for an old form of Chinese paper money...so noodles and dumplings on your birthday bring long life and prosperity!

...ok...enough of my Chinese lesson...here's Yani!

Don't fear failure. — Not failure, but low aim, is the crime. In great attempts it is glorious even to fail.
