She seems to be a very promising golfer. If she keeps up the good work, stays focused and her parents don't push her, she has a real chance to get to te LPGA.

My above post is about my observations that I believe happen to be pretty factual, although they can be viewed as a generalization too.

My statement about Asians typically not allowing their emotions to affect their performance is actually my admiration about their ability to focus and remain mentally tough.

You won't see me smiling after a 3 jack.....there will probably be some steam coming out of my ears.....which may lead to some irrational decisions on the next tee block......the only times I couldn't careless about a 3 putt or poor shot is when my round is completely going south and it won't have any affect on my handicap because it won't fall into the 10 best scores of my last 20 rounds.

IMO....golf is 70% mental and course mgmt....the better you think.....the better you'll score.
The golf ball doesn't move until you do something to it vs. other sports where it's reactionary...tennis, hockey, soccer, basketball, etc.

It's no coincident that many pros have a sports psychologist on their team.

There will be comparisons in many discussions.
The greatest golfer....TW vs. Jack.....the greatest amateur.....Bobby Jones vs. Carol Semple Thompson, etc, etc.

If you are fed up with stupid comparisons then don't read my posts.
You have your opinions and I have my opinions.

Tarantado!

Watakusiwa anata o sukimaso, Shampi. Aregato.

I have never been to Asia. My limited knowledge is based on extensive reading about the Continent. Asia is more a geographical practical concept that an entity. Ethnic groups, religions, languages, cultures, environments, economics, historical ties and government systems are so diverse and fascinating, that I have find it impossible to generalize one characteristic.

When you state that "Asians typically not allowing their emotions to affect their performance" you are talking about 4 billion people.Sounds like you think Asians are almost "robotic". Hate to disagree with you. And I believe people from millenary great civilization as China and Iran, etc., would agree with me.
