Smile Yani is hot, smoking hot.

Holy Cow, what's with Yani, she just shot 30 on the front nine.

And now she's birdied 10 and 11. She finished with an eagle yesterday, and I had a feeling she was going to make something happen today.

Thumbs up

I hope at the end of the day that Lorena and Yani are paired in the last group on Saturday. The pairing of Lorena and Yani who are both long drivers, would be fun to watch on TV.

May be on Sunday... Tomorrow it will be Yani and Minea unless someone reaches -10 this afternoon.

I followed Yani when she won the North-South Am. a couple of years ago vs. Morgan Pressel at Pinehurst #2 shortly after MP's US Am. win. The match went to 39 holes. She has real game and is quite long. I could see she was going to be a serious contender on the LPGA. I have some good photos from that match that I will try to post soon. The most memorable shot she had that day was a tough up and down from near the porch behind 18 to extend the match. I was pulling for MP but had to respect Yani's play. At the time, she seemed to speak no English and her Mom said a few words at the ceremony. I think she speaks some English now. My bet is for Yani for Rookie of the Year.

I think they are playing threesomes, so Lorena still has a chance at being in the last group.

If Yani can keep this up she will win.
As Lorena has proved this year more then even last year she ain't gonna
back up, she will shoot 4 or 5 under every round so to stay with her
you have to do the same.
Lorena will not win them all but she is very hard to beat.

Suzann is playing pretty good right now. Maybe we will see her with Yani and Lorena on the final threesome. Should be an interesting afternoon.

Yes, Yani had a great round today. She was -5 in the first 6 holes! She made some jaw dropping shots and putts.

I'd wait a bit before putting anyone in the final grouping on Sunday. There are several players within 3 or 4 of her score this afternoon, so let's see what happens tomorrow.

However, she does have a great shot if she keeps it going like she did today. Her only mistake was off the 18th hole where she drove it in a fairway bunker, failed to get it on the green and then didn't get it up and down for par....for her only bogey of the round. Great playing and exciting to watch.

It looks like it will be Yani, Suzann and Minea Bloomquist in the final threesome tomorrow............Minea teed off 20 minutes before Lorena did........so she posted her -9 first..........Lorena will be paired with the two at -8...........Teresa Lu and Carin Koch.........they used threesomes in round 3 last year...........should do the same tomorrow..........
