According to their rule book, if you win a LET major, then you become the member automatically, both Jiyai & Ai are the members of LET because of this rule. Yani has won not one but two already, so I don't see why she isn't a LET member..

Unhappy

Samuel: I'm not sure about this, but my source seemed to be. If you win an event you do not automatically become a member....you automatically are offered a chance to become a member. However, if you take membership then you are obligated to play in x number of LET tournaments to maintain membership. I suspect they might not accept membership due to conflicts.

Hey Lojo....jump in here and straighten us all out.

How can I automatically be made a member of something without my consent and be made to abide by there rules.

Also there are a lot of LPGA players that are also listed as LET members. However I think that the LET does not have very strict rules. I think that they are more then willing to have top players be members and not actually play very much. Also do not forget that it may seem that they have a lot of tournaments, there is not a ot of many to be made apart from the Evian and BO, and you don't need to be an LET member for that. Also if you wanted to play both, there is plenty of non compete events to be in.

She will probably accept memebership to make thing easier when she wants to play around the world, but she would no be a regular LET tour player. It is just not worth it money wise.

Annika, her sister, Sophie, et al are listed as "International" for category. Does that give those marked "International" carte blanche into all the tours? And what exactly is International?

I'm pretty sure Lojo knows all the answers, that why I sent out an SOS to her.

OK, that's just say Yani isn't a LET member, but for a non-member to make more money & win more games than any members on your tour, how weird is that? just send her a gold membership card already..

By the way, you can download LET 2011 media guide (285 pages) from their website, good read, lots of info there, hope LPGA to do something like that.

They have a different one that you can download for every Tournament. Usually at the Tournament Web Site, not at the LPGA Web site.
