I can't add much to "Sheesh."

Sheesh indeed! Wonder if this has anything to do with the long discussion they had about her trying to go between the trees at the Kraft? I can't imagine where she's going to get someone as good or better than this guy! What is WITH these people??

The commenters on the GolfWeek article seem to offer some insight. This may be why there is more caddie turnover on the LPGA than on the PGA. The players are often younger and don't know if they want a friend for a caddie or a professional. A friend (mom, brother, dad, etc.) is more comfortable but usually not as skilled as a caddie. How many times have we seen young talented players come out with mom, dad, or bro on the bag and they don't seem to live up to potential, struggling especially with putting (Brittany Lang, Vicky Hurst, Julie Granada after a hot streak at the end of her second year, etc.) A pro caddie will help them with their game, but it means being mature enough to handle a professional relationship on the course.

What does a caddie has to do with a golfer? If you are a good golfer...anybody can carry a bag for you. You can hire Hilary Lunke's caddie to carry Phil Michelson's bag and he's still good. That's just like an stewardees teaching a pilot how to play a plane. Just like a towel boy telling Michael Phelps how swim.
Don't they have a coach?

DB, a caddie can make a huge difference. The players aren't going to walk the course and check pin placements early in the morning, they aren't going to chart the course for themselves. There's a lot more to being a good caddie than carrying the bag and cleaning the dirt off the clubs.

How many times have we bitched and moaned on this site about caddies lining up players?

I don't think you give the caddie enough credit for what they do. The players may in fact have coaches, but they aren't walking the course with the them.

I don't remember, so did he also do the plunge with Yani after the Kraft win?
