Yani Tseng: 5 Toughest Competitors She's Faced on the LPGA | Bleacher Report

What you write about Yani and who she thinks is tough competition, is really the reason Yani has no business playing on the PGA TOUR. Yani has no idea how tough the competition on the PGA TOUR is compared to who she thinks is tough competition on the LPGA tour. :wavey:

Gxer, that wasn't the intention of this particular slideshow, but I respect and appreciate the input. :ani_thumbup:

Thanks for the article, Shampi!

Its interesting to know what her thoughts of her competition are. With the exception of Lorena, she seems to be very good friends with all the rest (Jiyai, Na Yeon, Suzann & Ai).

Your intention was fine, it's just that when I read who Yani thought was tough competition, I thought to myself, that girl has no clue what really tough competition is. :wavey:

Lets see she named Annika,Lorena, and Pettersen.. I would say she is right on. I can't think of any tougher.

You don't seem to be following what Shampi and I were talking about.

Nice job, Shampi.

What you were talking about.
Shampi wasn't talking about the PGA..
That's your fixation.

Viva Annika

Shampi 11-16-2011 10:46 PM

Exactly, not discusing the PGA here, but I do see Gxer's point of view and I totally respect it :D

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!

Another terrible article Shampi...you need to go back to school and take more journalism 101 courses. Or if you need some lessons and tips, come over here and I'll teach you how to write so you'd become an expert in the future.

Hehehehehehehehe! Just kidding again, Shampoo.

Unlike NTB, you know, since the subject of your article was Yani's view of tough competition, that the only reason I brought up competition on the PGA TOUR is because of Yani's comments a few weeks ago about wanting to play in a PGA TOUR event someday.

If she ever does, she will learn the same thing that Annika learned namely,
"It was a great week but I've got to go back to my tour, where I belong. I'm glad I did it, but this is way over my head"

coolfish1103 11-17-2011 03:45 PM

So much hate and bias.

I don't know what people on here expect Yani to say... is she suppose to say no one is as competitive on the LPGA tour now simply because she is leading by such a large margin and have 5 more wins than most people on the tour this season? That would sound too cocky and not Yani's style.

I don't know what people wanted Yani to respond to the PGA suggestion either. Is she suppose to hardcore deny it as well from the start? Her approach of responding with learning to play with PGA Tour members one day is probably the best answer one can give. She is facing the media when being asked and people need to be reasonable on this forum on what a player must or must not say in front of a camera.

There wasn't anything wrong with what Yani said about her competition on the LPGA tour.

In addition, the guy stuff was her idea, she asked for it, she got it, and then chickened out, for now. :wavey:

Good post. Some people only want to hear what they want to hear.

What's with you gxer? You were the one who against Yani plays with men, now after she said no to PR Open then you call her a chicken? I don't understand what's this hate on Yani from you, ok let me guess.. because Yani is in your precious 16 years olds way to become the next #1 golfer, bingo?

I don't hate Yani at all, but she will be making a big mistake if she thinks she can get away with playing in a PGA TOUR event for fun or learning, that's just not possible with today's media. :wavey:

Just ignore Qxer(according to NTB)...he has loose screw in his head, due to when he was in grade school, he was beaten up by women and he never recovered from it. Just put him in your ignore list...oh wait a minute, putting someone in ignore list is being coward and childish...never mind!

What I mean is that today's media tends to over-hype everything, they just can't help themselves.

Now of course, when dealing in generalities, there are always exceptions and hopefully you will be one of those exceptions. :wavey:

Yes, many tend to do it. I think I'm part of the exception.

More like the media forced her to say that in order to end the overwhelming talks of "will Yani play PGA?"

I don't know what you meant by her chickening out. Is she is suppose to ditch her own tour to play an event in Puerto Rico in middle of the season (between LPGA events in March, or even ditch a LPGA event) for a PGA event? The 2012 LPGA Calendar is not even fully out and I won't be surprised if a LPGA event is scheduled on the same week as the Puerto Rico PGA event. It's like asking Ryu So Yeon to play 2011 CME Group Titleholders when she is trying to earn her awards in KLPGA, and she belongs to the KLPGA Tour.

When Yani has finally achieved everything she can in LPGA, she can be like Annika and play a couple PGA events by invitation, not like Michelle Wie trying to play in a PGA event before fulfilling doing most of the meaningful things in LPGA just for the media hypes.

There is no LPGA tour event scheduled for the week of the Puerto Rico open.
