Opening round foursomes

Pressel/Alex vs Ciganda/Law
Thompson/Altomare vs Hall/Boutier
Korda/Korda vs Masson/Ewart Shadoff
Khang/Park vs Hull/Munoz

Some interesting matches.

3am NY Time, Tough too stay up. Especially after a week in Vegas.

Saturday score 8-8. No points to anyone.

Strong Finishes by both teams. Anyone's game.
The weather is a strong factor, adds to the story, Hey it's the Highlands, but I think a bit too distracting from the play.

If you watched the broadcast Judy Suggested that the teams should front load with there best players for singles. I disagree a bit.

I take my best 4 and put them first and last. 2 and 2. Next best 4 I back fill from the begining and the end back towards the middle. My weakest in the middle. But is there really that much difference between 4-8 on both teams.

I think it will come down to the last few groups, as I see the others splitting.

So based on the lineups it looks like it could come down to Alex, McDonald,Pressel,Pettersen,Law and Nordqvist. All in the last 3 groups. So I would say they are mainly following Judy's advice. it might just come down to Pressel v Nordqvist.

WINNER LPGA IRELAND

What a finish. Looking like victory (Tie) for US, big finish by Law and Petersen.

Still the best event on the LPGA tour. All around good play by both teams. Sunday weather relented and let the players decide. Rookies, Next Gen showed they are here to stay. Great course and setting, fans amazing.

What a way for Petersen to retire.
