Pak Picker Standings Through Honda Thailand

It was another exciting contest this past week, as the standings were changing right up to the last hole. There was a logjam of LPGA players that finished in the 13th position, leaving us all shaking our heads at what could have been. Many of us had 3 or 4 players that finished in that position.

Congratulations go out to Baggerbob for winning Pak Picker week #4. He was the only player to have the combination of Karrie Webb, Azahara Munoz, and Suzann Pettersen, and it was enough to take him to the top. As usual it always comes down to the secondary players, as we all have those "automatic picks".

The wooden spoon this week goes to a player who is very familiar with receiving this non-reward, Saint-Just X.
Saint-Just X, who set the all-time record in 2014 with 8 wooden spoons, had us a bit fooled the last two weeks when he finished in the top ten both times. But the self proclaimed "worlds worst player" was back in form this week finishing in 20th place. He managed to do this even though his 4 correct picks were one more than Centurion's 3.

We had 7 players go up in the standing this week, 15 go down, and 2 stayed right where they were last week.

GD Smyth made the biggest leap in the standings, jumping up from #18 to #11. Baggerbob made the most important move, jumping up a spot into the #1 position. We have now had 4 different #1 players in the standings in 4 weeks. On the downside, Rwgwillis drops 3 spots into the #18 position. Centurion, still recovering from the nasty fall he took last week, tried to get up and walk too soon. As a result he fell hard once again (the only player to have just 3 correct picks), and finds himself down to 14th place.

Other observations:

1- Bangkokbobby keeps up what has been a trend so far this year. Bobby, who received the wooden spoon last week, finished 2nd this week. All of our wooden spoon recipients this year have bounced back nicely the following week. Don't look for that trend to continue this week as Saint-Just X.................

2- This is the 4th consecutive week we have had at least 20 players participating. This may be our strongest field ever.

3- With Elf finishing in the 12th position this week, IceCat and Tonyj5 are now the only players to have finished in the top 10 all 4 weeks.

4- Dennis gets his first points of the year with his solid 4th place finish this week.

5- Friar Mike and Blue, are the only veteran players not to score a point yet this year. Both are solid knowledgeable players. Don't look for that trend to continue much longer. We are all rooting for you to break through this coming week.
