Pak Picker Standings Through Founders Cup

Congratulations go out to Pakman this week for winning Pak Picker week #6. Pakman besides having all the usual picks, had the unusual combination of Sandra Gal, Anna Nordqvist, and Ilhee Lee, and that is what got him to the top. He was the only player to have 8 correct picks.

The wooden spoon this week goes to Boomer for the second week in a row. Boomer was the only contestant to have only 3 correct picks. We haven't been hearing many booms from him this year, it has been more like tiny squeaks, as he has failed to score a single point this year. Look for him to come out roaring this week.

We had 5 players advance in the standings this week, 7 fall down, and 12 stay in the same position. The most important move was made by Pakman who moves up a spot into the #1 position. The biggest move was made by Olamin. Our rookie from Sweden jumps up from #7 to #4. On the downside, Baggerbob, Tonyj5, Verdant Garden, Centurion, and Schoolteacher Cindy, all dropped two spots in the standings.

Other observations:
1- Rookies continue to make a huge impact not only on the LPGA tour, but here in Pak Picker land. Pakman was the third rookie to win in the first 6 week's of play. Two rookies (Olamin finished third), finished in the top 3 this week. We now have two rookies in the top 4, and three rookies in the top 9 in of the overall standings.

2- With Tonyj5 failing to finish in the top 10 this week, IceCat is the only player to have 6 top ten finishes this year. However, his 6th place finish was not good enough to hold onto the #1 spot.

3- This week was such a great example of how things can change from one round to another. Schoolteacher Cindy had the lead after 3 rounds, and didn't score a single point with her 13th place finish. On the other hand Pakman was in 11th place after round 3, and went on to win it all.

4- Pakman's score of 86.25 was a new high for the year. That will be very hard to beat.

Here are the standing after week #6:

1- Pakman - 37
2- IceCat - 34
3- Bangkokbobby - 31
