The first round has been suspended due to darkness.

Karen Stupples and Moira Dunn haven't finished their rounds so we don't have scores for the contest yet.

In the meantime, has everyone figured out the group themes?

Well, I have obviously spent some time on it

but did not succeed.

Original national descent (current citizenship and country of birth notwithstanding) would seem to be involved looking at the Australian, Korean, Swedish and Thai groupings. I had to resort to Pat’s mom to tie her to Ai and Mika. But it wavers with Vicky in with two Chinese players Candie and Yani and blows up with Lorena, Natalie and Leta. I am anxious to read the answer.

This was kind of lame. Two named Michelle/Michele, and Louden went to Stanford like Wie.

I screwed this one up. Was supposed to be all from England, but Doolan is from Australia.

Another silly one. All two syllable names ending in "ey" sound and one syllable last name.

I am from Fort Worth, like Angela, and thought that Stacy might be from Texas. I tried to confirm that Stacy was and find out about Taylor, but could not find the info. Maybe another cup of coffee..

That was hard enough. And fun. Perhaps I can specialize in this rather than my lame contest picks.
