After Wednesday night the alternates will be eliminated and the players will be set. You have the option to make or change your selections until the first player tees off Thursday morning.

You want to go for the whole apple? Here are some risky bets:
Group "A"
Jennifer Rosales is lonely with zero selections.
Group "B"
Karine Icher and Haeji Kang have not been selected and MUNOZ has only one selection.
Group "C""
Nicole Hage, a "newcomer" to the contest has no selections.

And here are low risk selections.
The favorites:
Group "A" Cristie Kerr (8) and Sun Young Yoo (6)
Group "B" Four players have most of the votes: Lewis (14), Mika (10), Ai and Jiyai (9). Creamer has 6 and the rest of the group very few.
Group "C" GULBIS is the big favorite (9) and then Lexi (6). This group will probably decide the winner. Very close
GOOD LUCK:ani_director::ani_director:

I really like Lexi......but I think the dreaded sh_nks might still be in the back of her mind.
Her game was still a bit shaky in Vanc and I saw her sh_nk a practice chip....and yes that was 2 weeks ago.

I think all the golfers here might agree it's one of the worst things that lingers in your memory bank much longer than desired.

Hopefully, I'm wrong and Lexi's young mind has a short memory.

COMMENTS
It was like having two events. The morning players with great rounds including a great -9 by J. Shin and on the average (at least our selections) playing around -4.
The afternoon players had a much difficult time playing around par, and with a few of our players in danger of missing the cut: Cristie Kerr +1, Brittany Lang +1, Brittany Lincicome +2 Momoko Ueda +2, and Sun Young Yoo +1.

BONUS SELECTIONS.
There are a few that will get big bonus and will influence the final outcome. Others are in danger of missing the cut.

coolfish1103 Jiyai Shin -9
JJfan Jiyai Shin -9
loochag Paula Creamer -6
asitlies3 Paula Creamer -6
Balabill Natalie Gulbis -4
lpgafan132 Natalie Gulbis -4
MPfan Lexi Thompson -4
IceCat Hee Young Park -3

POTENTIAL CUTS
ajraymond Brittany Lang 1
Boneyard Cristie Kerr 2
Blue Cristie Kerr 2
mothra87 Morgan Pressel 2 (mothra87 needs to place candles to get Morgan to make the cut, or his great picks will be useless).
UpDev Michelle Wie 4
I_LOVE_MICHELLE_WIE Michelle Wie 4

J. Rosales is having a great afternoon, currently at -4, but no one selected her. Nicolas Hage was the only morning player (in our group) with a bad round +4, but with no selections either.

So picking names that are the same is a bad idea.

The Britannies are not doing so hot (tomorrow, they play in the morning and could help), but the Miyasatos are doing great.

@xman: Do I do similar things with the picking you did in U.S. Open or do I stay the normal format for Women's British Open? Let me know.

It's all up to you. What ever you want to do is ok. I think for majors it is fun to mix it up.

xman5 09-07-2012 06:59 AM

I mean to say, keep the same format. I am trying to compile statistics. But chose the groups any way you want and make any special bonus that you want.
