Final Results Winner Lumazi, followed by Meadowbrook and loochag. There were several players that were seleceted as Bonus but withdrew. Those players were assigned 0 for the Bonus. This had an effect on the results. |

Congratulations to Lumazi, and thanks to Xman. I fell like a rock after last week.

I apologize for asking, but I cannot find an explanation of the bonus points. I tried looking back to the inception of the contests, but things have changed since. I looked at the last few tournaments trying to find a pattern. I understand how you lose points, but am not clear on how you gain them. I do not understand why, for the CVS, lumazi got -10 points for picking Stanford who tied for 5th and mothra87 got -10 for picking Blumenhurst who tied for 5th and loochag, 4wahine and asitlies3 just got -3.3 for picking Ochoa who came in 2nd. In the Canadian Open lpgafan32 got -10 for picking Pressel who tied for 2nd, but MPfan just got -5 for picking Ai Miyazato who also tied for second. Thanks, meadowbrook |

Bonus Points as follows: 1 = -20 2-5 =-10 6-10=-5 11+ = +1 Missed Cut = +5 If more then 1 person makes the same choice then the points are split between those people. In this case Stanford finished in 2-5 and was only picked by 1 person, so that person gets the full -10. Ochoa also finished 2-5 but was picked by 3 people so the -10 was split between the 3 players for -3.3 each. It's easy to pick someone like Ochoa each week, but the drawback is that everyone else might pick Ochoa and the points will be divided, so that is part of the bonus pick. Here is a link to the complete rules. http://www.mylpga.com/forum/member-c...st-2009-a.html |

Thanks. I figured out the reasoning behind the point allotment not long after I posted, but I was in the car headed away from my computer when the epiphany occurred and could not delete my post ![]() I like the risk/reward for picking the long-shots. |
