We DO know who will be playing this week in the contest, and who he'll pick to win it. I can understand really liking a player, whoever it is, but I don't understand always picking him/her to win because of that. I root for Yani, I root for Jiyai, but it doesn't make sense to pick them to win every time out...

My comment was meant as a joke, picking up on the comment last week about how unfair it was that Michelle Wie didn't make it into the contest.

Sorry that was not clear.

Jiyai was just outside the cut-off for the contest, just as Michelle was just outside last week. Both were based on objective numerical criteria.

Before I make my picks for this week, I want to say thanks to everyone who puts this game together and runs it every week. This is a really fun game to play and really adds to the enjoyment of the tournaments. If my favorite player(s) aren't doing very well, I still have my picks to cheer for! If my favorite player is not listed in the initial groupings of players to choose from that's OK, because I can still include her in the game by picking her as my bonus if I want to! Once again thank you very much, your hard work and effort has produced a really fun game that I look forward to playing every time (even though until last week I usually finish at or near the bottom).
