Hi wiefan:

Nope, was CS. I did some stuff for Nursing & Engineering.

As for the Sony, she would have made the cut if the weather was similar to 04. It was very windy this year and blowing from the other direction.

In her latest interview she said lot of the comments are laughable, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

MW did say she wants to add ~30 more yards to her driving distance through increased flexibility. If you look at the PGA stats, she lost ~10 yards from 04. If she can keep the ball in the fairway, she'll increase her driving distance.

I think her putting will get better through experience and practice.

Maybe I'm the only fan sitting way out on this limb with the confidence she will break TWs records.

Hi ya Kaialii....NOPE!!....you are NOT the only fan that thinks she will break Tiger's record....however....I am not one of those....I love Wiesy golf and everything that surrounds this....I just hope that she is able to have a record as comparable to Annika's.....Tiger's stuff with the PGA is a completely different ball game....I hope she settles on the LPGA PRIMARILY and then maybe tinkle with the PGA here and there during her "lull" time.....the ladies on the LPGA are tough enough to keep her competitive spirits going....on any given day, any of these ladies can "BLOW" away any competition....anyway...everything for MW is just a stepping stone....I would like to see her establish herself BIG TIME with the LPGA before making a serious move to the TOUGH PGA conditions.....I think this will make her a happier kid and she will enjoy her Adult life much more better.....just my opinion....anyway....have a great day....see ya!!

Wiefan? You woke up. I thought you were going to sleep until Michelle comes back in October. Good to see you back talking about MW once again. Also glad to finally know for sure that you live in Hawaii. I thought so for a long time, and now I know. Good to see that you and Kailaii will be able to watch her and report to us, every time she tees it up there.

Kailaii, you are not alone on MW's talent potential. I too think that she could win The Masters! Not right away, but let's say 10 years down the line. She did tell both Letterman and Sawyer that she was going to do strength exercises to add extra distance to her drives.

Her putting will come around. I mean, how many of the superstar pros now were GREAT putters when they were 15? Probably not ANY!

I just posted on TGC DB, results of leading women golfers and how they did in the majors this year. If you used a normal top 10 system, Annika won, of course, BUT MICHELLE finished 2nd!! To me that tells an awful lot for a golfer of her age. AND we have to remember that she is only a part-time player now, and does not have the opportunity of playing every week, as Paula and the other young LPGA members do!

Since you two are on The Island, have you heard anything on why Michelle did NOT wear any earrings at the WBO? She did really good without them, so do you think she will be wearing them at the Samsung in October?

Hey Wiefan, did I wake you from your hibernation?

Hi Boola Boss, it's nice to hear I'm not the only one thinking MW can win the Masters. If she stays an amateur, she gets into the 07 Masters, otherwise it'll take a few more years. If she gets into the 07 Masters, she wins before turning 20 and turns pro durring this period, most likely after the 07 Masters, and starts on a Tiger like run.

I took a look at the PGA stats for MW and a 16 year old TW. MW is better than a 16 year old TW. Can MW keep this going, who knows, it will be a treat to watch.

I agree, her putting will come around. She's not a bad putter, just streaky. Hopefully she doesn't make as many changes as Vijay and just perfects what she's doing now.

Not one of our reporters asked about her earings. Even in her first interview at home she wasn't wearing any earings, though airport security makes it lots of humbug now.

I've also started looking at our "ace" report, she's overdue for another one.

Thanks, Kaialii, for answering my earrings question. I am wondering why one of these reporters did not ask her that question. As a former sports writer, who covered golf, I would have asked her for sure. We all remember how the TV announcers kept mentioning them as a possible hinderance when she teed off especially.

Maybe if I send a question to the LPGA guy who does the interviews before the tournaments, then he will ask her at the Samsung.

That was interesting about the MW vs. Tiger stats, but it did not surprise me. I think it is about time for all the Wiesy bashers to finally admit that she was the best 15-year-old golfer EVER, male or female! I was also thinking about her playing partners in her next PGA event. If Tiger was in the field, would the PGA dare to put them together? They usually line her up with two rookies! But can you just imagine the crowds that would be following that pairing, no matter who the 3rd player was!

It couldn't hurt.

Remember I was looking at MWs stats at 15 and younger compared to a 16 year old TW. I couldn't find any stats for TW at the same age as MW.

If TW is in the same event, unless the event is a GWC, there is no way MW and TW get paired. In the last GWC, for the first 2 rounds TW was paird with Marc Cayeux. Marc managed to finish T49 with a hole in his left hand. He burnt his hand lighting a grill.

I just posted on this site how Tiger did on the PGA tour as a teenager, and it REALLY makes Michelle look good. BTW, he DID NOT compete on the PGA tour as a young teenager. His first PGA event was as a 16-year-old and he missed the cut. Michelle won't even be 16 for five more weeks!
