Julieta Granada Training Video

The trainer made it look so easy...it isn't...and by the time Julieta finished with the third "pillar to push" medicine ball, she looked worn out...

I'm just guessing here...but in the video, he briefly makes a remark about getting power from the ground up...for a little person like Julieta, who will never have big guns, I assume they want her to try to increase her power through bringing that strength from the ground, through her legs and into her arm motion...and see if she can apply that to her swing...get her a few yards more off the tee and some more power in the rough...

...I am just guessing...of course...

But I think that her major problem is that she can not hit the ball straight anymore.

She isn't too bad off the tee ; but she's a short hitter, and can't find the green with any degree of regularity.

She finds herself struggling for par on too many holes.

Nothing she did last year suggested an upturn in fortune was imminent.

Perhaps introducing big balls into her daily routine will be beneficial. (It's almost like I did that on purpose...)

Being a short hitter is no excuse. Morgan Pressel, MH Kim are short hitters, they manage to do quit well. She then needs to learn or relearn how to hit long irons or hybrids or pick up her short game. Throwing around balls is not going to help no matter how big they are . If she has changed her swing for distance then she has made a big mistake because she has been on the skids for a few years.

Ummm.... Eun Hee Ji, also short in size is not a long hitter either.... but she is a straight shooter, landing a ball where she aims.

For JG we well have to see if a power force movement well also help her aim. Of course this is only one exercise work out we know she is attempting .... she may be doing others as well. One thing is for sure .... in this new LPGA Age .... if your not all around fit, skill and drive length alone is not a guarantied key for success, or wins.

That's what it comes down to, doesn't it? I guess she has to try whatever she believes will help her. Everybody on tour has tremendous talent...but whatever it is that separates the players on top from...well, the players not on top...and it probably is a combination of things...you know, we will see if the off season work will result in Julieta connecting with that...

...her driving accuracy in 2009 didn't look that bad...but her putting...yikes!

...and when she hit the beach...forget it...and she's pretty short off the tee...

...but what is happening with her short game...she was 34th in fairways hit, but 123rd in greens hit...
