I actually think Celeste Troche deserves as much if not more credit for the win. Your only as good as your weakest player, and on paper Celeste was leagues below Julieta, but she played better than anyone all week really. Best individual score (along with Mhairi McKay, where has she been btw) and seemed to make every putt she looked at this week. It's too bad she doesnt have exempt status because I can only imagine this will do a lot for her game and hopefully she can get into quite a few events this year. I've become a fan of Celeste's this week, and I've been a fan of Julieta for a while.

DD, the surprise for me about Paraguay winning is more to do with the fact that they have 7 or 8 golf courses in the whole country and that they have only 2 active players on the tour ........ Celeste's performance was a big surprise to me ......

Whoever picked her to be paired with Julieta for this event deserves a lot of credit, because they meshed so well as a team.To beat the US by 7 strokes and the South Korean's by 8 strokes is playing some fantastic golf,no matter how you look at it. |

And if the top ranked player doesn't want to play then they just keep moving on down the ranks until they get to someone who accepts. (example: Korea) Last edited by Par-Tee Girl; 01-22-2007 at 01:04 PM. |

![]() I wonder if they will be together as a team next year?...They seemed to bring the best out of one another, and they could be very difficult to beat. |
