LOL!...I'll have to remember these the next time a have a toothache.Better to go through some instant pain(having your teeth knocked out) than to go through a couple of hours of torture and then having to pay out the nose for it.

Thanks,Dangerbob, you may have saved me a lot of money.

LOL!...I can tell you are also half polish, since you seem to be having a hard time with the posting times, too. At least I'm not alone here.I spent some time last night trying to figure out how to correct the time, and couldn't figure it out yet.but when I finally do,I'll let everyone know how I managed to do it(if my half polish heritage doesn't kick in first and I manage to forget how).

Nice talking to you,DJ,and don't worry.I'm going to figure out this time thing, even if I have to go get one of my 10 year old neighbors to do it for me.

You can read this thread if you want to :

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think there's anything you can do about the timestamps being different. Eventually you'll get used to doing a little cipherin' if you wanna know when something was posted.

Look at the bottom of any page you will see that the GMT offset is correct but the time is wrong. Where ever the server is its time is probably off by an hour (really more like 1hr 5 mins.)

Go to your profile options (User CP) on the forum. Change the GMT offset. IE. I am really in the eastern time but had to set it to central for the correct time.

Hi,RainMan.I personally really don't care what the time says, and I know all my posts are 2 hrs. 5 min. off.It would be nice to fix, though, just so you know the correct time of your posting.I'll try to fix mine, but if I can't,it is no big deal, because I really like this board. It has some really neat things in it,and it makes TGCDB look like it was developed by cavemen.

I also heard that Chicago song on the way home from work today.I got to thinking about this board while listening to it,and a really funny thing happened.I heard a loud "BANG" then my truck stalled(I immediately thought the timing chain had blown),so I pulled over, waited a few minutes, and tried to start the truck again. It wasn't the timing chain, because the truck started back up,but it was making loud banging noises(I think I broke a connecting arm),so it looks like it's time for me to buy another truck...Oh well!...On the bright side,at least it will all be the same color again.

Nice talking to you,RainMan.

Hi xman5.I'm going to try your suggestion, since I too am on eastern time.I didn't know it was a GMT offset, maybe that is where I did go wrong with the time setting. It is really no big deal to me if the time is off.I can live with that, because this board is a real pleasure to visit.

I don't really care much about the time, either. As long as the posts get recorded, it doesn't matter what the clock says.

I agree,MarinePaul...This forum is just too good to pass up.It is a great place to post and visit, and it is fun, too. With all that's going on around the world, everyone needs to get a break from it all,and I find that this forum is a good place to just relax, and be yourself, and post what you truly mean. I like that in a DB.TGCDB has a lot of characters on there that try to drag Tiger Woods,Michelle Wie,etc. into a discussion that is not even relevant to the topic, and they try to put them down while they are at it.How sad is that?
