The tiger missed the cut!

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Finally, all the talk about Tiger Woods was mostly about his golf.

And it was more bad news.

In a shocking meltdown Friday at the Quail Hollow Championship, Woods missed the cut for only the sixth time in his career with a performance that was incomparable for all the wrong reasons.

He shot a 79, his worst score on American soil as a pro and the second-highest of his career. He matched his highest score on nine holes with a 43 on the back nine, and that was with three solid pars on the tough closing stretch. His 36-hole score of 153 was the highest in his 14 years on the PGA Tour.

One tournament hardly spells doom and gloom for Tiger.

Your right. It takes about 26 ladies or more.

Seriously, what he does with his personal life has little to do with his ability. He had a bad tournament. I doubt it will cause him to retire.

So MP...I know you're an expert on this...so, let me ask you. If you are used to getting it all the time, and then all of a sudden you haven't gotten it in almost six months, don't you think it'll affect your ability to think or concentrate?

I think it could have a short- term effect, but I doubt that it will be his ruination. Realistically, I think Tiger is the favorite going into any tournament he enters. Every player, even the great ones, can have a bad couple of rounds.
