Sakura Yokomine

Dropping in some videos of JLPGA stars...and thought I should start with the 2009 Money and Scoring Leader, and my favorite JLPGAer, six-time 2009 JLPGA Winner, Sakura Yokomine!

...here she is winning that sixth tournament, the Ricoh Cup...

Thanks for the videos.... though it is in Japanese, we can still get the feel of how golf crazy they are to.... nice to hear the crowds, and watch some of the players.

It would be nice if Sakura Yokomine would play over here, but as the LPGA has limited events this year, she may just stay with the Asian tours in 2010.... unless she excepts an invite or two to play an LPGA or LET tour event.

So many young gifted female players world wide, not hundreds, but thousands of them. Golf is thriving, and the Olympics are yet to come.... 2010 looks better and better and better. :-)

In that second vid, Sakura seems to have an unusual swing when driving the ball off the tee.... though it may just be the way I see it, and her iron shot it looks like she comes right down on top of it. Just and observation.... and I am probably wrong. No matter how she does it, she sure gets good results. :-)

Yes...in one of those videos, I thought the commentators might need CPR...or at least a paper bag to breath in!

...in Japanese, but for those who care to follow the other tours, I think the more you see actual footage of them...instead of news reports and pictures...the more "real" they become...

...and here Sakura-chan is winning the 2009 Ito En Ladies...

And we get to see their golf courses as well.... they look good. And they can for sure follow a ball anywhere with a camera.... lots of high tech over there. Now if we can just get our events live and not tape-delayed, I would settle for that. Maybe I should move to Japan. :-)
