The LET is taking the women's game to places where golf wasn't even a blip on the radar : Russia,Czech Republic,Slovakia. It's reaching out which, hopefully, will be good for the long-term future. Unfortunately,it still doesn't have live tv coverage of the events, nor highlights of most of them, which is a huge impediment to its growth potential... Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |

Clearly there are differences in the courses they play on the two tours. There are virtually no links courses in the USA, and I mean real links courses as in the UK. Stangely I think I saw more LET golf in Australia than I have anywhere else! They often had, very belatedly, some of the LET tournaments, though not often at a time I was able to watch. |

As for TV coverage and such... it should come as sponsors begin to see their is a fan interest here. In a sense, LET could play both ends of the golf field, being so in the middle of both. Best of both worlds, or something like that. :-) Anyways, thank you for your over-seas golf views, and those also from way down-under. Though I may not always agree with you, 'over there', I always appreciate your thoughts and views, for they really do make me a better golf fan. Again, thanks for your inputs, and a Very Merry Christmas to you all....eh.

It's an interesting tournament, not strictly a kind of tour championship for the LET,so the potential for more global talent is there. The course,if you squint your eyes, could be Scottsdale, and that great architecture makes a fine backdrop.According to the commentators, the greens were running at 12 on the stimpmeter,so it's a decent test, albeit fairly generous off the tee ;and I'm sure they lay out the red carpet for the players in terms of hospitality. I know December isn't a month for golf to be grabbing the attention, but that tournament has potential. And a happy Christmas to you and yours in the frozen north,too... Pax Vobiscum Saint-Just X |
