The girls and guys with this type swing just don't last into their latter years.

That does hurt just looking at it. Looks like it would definitely create some back problems before she gets very old.

I don't get it does this type of swing provide more power for smaller people? I've seen this before in junior golfers is why I ask.

Hi ya folks....just another Junior golfer from Hawaii...actually Alina has done what even Wiesy couldn't do...Alina advanced to round three in this Manoa Cup event...Wiesy was herald for advancing to the 2nd round at I think age 12...I am not sure....anyway...Alina has a lot to be proud of

also watch out for Cyd Okino...another rising golfer from Hawaii

and Blue, I am Hoping that Stephanie Kono makes your "Super Watch List" when she does go Professional after being an All-American at UCLA.....now Stephanie Kono DEFINATELY can play...I know she will make the LPGA some day....perhaps not as good as Wiesy has proven...but Stephanie can hold her own

this concludes my Hawaii Home Grown Report...hmmm perhaps Gxer used Photoshop and Twirled the pix at that Owiieee position for Alina

have a good day folks...see ya!!

I think it's a habit developed by kids who start playing at a very young age (single digit young) when they are very small but using clubs that are too big and too stiff for them.

It does not provide anymore power for smaller people (if it would I'd try it), but if you're 6 years old and trying to swing your dad's old driver, this is the only way to do it. Then it's hard to change.

I thought I heard it did help with distance for small/short people. But you could be correct. I think Paula also dips quite a bit.
