| 2009 Orient China Ladies Open (12/17-12/19) Anyway...here we go...I'll try to keep up the reporting for the KLPGA and JLPGA in 2010 here but HappyFan's blog is the real place to go for KLPGA goodies. We also have another blogger, The Constructivist, in the ss.com forum who is all over the JLPGA far more than I could ever be. That being said...I will do my darndest to keep this part of the forum going...you never know who might turn out to be the next Se Ri Pak or Ji Yai Shin or Peanut or Ai Miyazato...catch them before they become known in the States... If you've followed some of my posts about the KLPGA, you should know the names Hee Kyung Seo and So Yeon Ryu...they will be there. But also there will be LPGA Major winner and 2008 Rookie of the Year Yani Tseng. Some other names possibly familiar to LPGA fans are Russy Gulyanamitta and Pornanong Phatlum, both from the Land of Smiles. Hee Kyung Seo and Yani Tseng hold trophy...but who will hold it in three days? ![]() Hee Kyung Seo seems ready to go! ![]() ![]()

. BKB said - "This is actually the start of the 2010 KLPGA season. OK...as HF explains it, the ADT Caps, their last Major, ends the 2009 season..then the awards show...then this event that is co sponsored by the Ladies Asian Tour and held in China...strange, but true, the 2010 KLPGA season actually starts in 2009 in another country...and not another KLPGA event until March! " Talk about a golf vacation.... or trying to fill a gap. I wonder why they put Orient in front of China Ladies Open? :-)

After round two, Hee Kyung Seo maintains her two stroke lead over Jung Eun Lee and So Yeon Ryu. LPGA players Ya Ni Tseng and Russy Gulyanamitta are tied at 23rd at 4-over. I'm hoping for a big final round from NiNi to at least pull her even par for the tournament. The amateur, Jiayun Li was able to fire a 67 on day two, so there are low scores available on this course. 1. Hee Kyung Seo -5 [68-71] T2. Jung Eun Lee -3 [70-71] T2. So Yeon Ryu -3 [70-71] 4. Taoli Yang -2 [72-70] 5. Jiayun Li (A) -1 [76-67] click pictures for larger image Hee Kyung Seo ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So Yeon Ryu ![]() ![]()

As for golf, those clips are on the side and on the bottom, again not english.... but it is interesting to see how our LPGA players are doing over there, and those that may one day be playing the LPGA. Do not think though that anything here well be live, but I could be wrong. And its still nice to watch golf shots and putts this time of the year, all be it half way around the world. Thanks to you and PNJ for the link.... one more golf link for me to add. And this one appears to be all about golf, and womens golf at that. Again thanks much. :-)

| RYU BELIEVER! ![]() It's not over until it's over. So Yeon Ryu, trailing Hee Kyung Seo for two days, made up a two shot deficit to begin the day with a 2-under 70 to Seo's even par 72 to tie the 2009 KLPGA Player of the year after regulation play. Befitting what promises to be a year in which the KLPGA's top two players will be battling it out for Player of the Year honors, the first event of the 2010 season was decided in a playoff, with Ryu emerging triumphant. Hee Kyung Seo probably lost this tournament during a three hole stretch between holes 4 through 6 where she went bogey-bogey-bogey. This left her 3-over before she even finished the front nine. Although she added three birdies on the back nine to bring her back to even par for the round and force a playoff, that poor start was ultimately her doom. Meanwhile, So Yeon Ryu, paired with Seo for the final round, had a bogey free card. With an early birdie on the third hole and Seo's collapse on 4-5-6, Ryu turned a start of the round two shot deficit into a lead for most of the round. Seo did well to force a playoff, but eventually fell on the third extra hole. LPGA star Ya Ni Tseng shot the best round of the day with a 4-under 68, leapfrogging from a tie for 23rd after the second round to a tie for sixth place. Well done, NiNi! more info here: http://seoulsisters.wordpress.com/20...ies-open-rd-3/ 1. So Yeon Ryu -5 [70-71-70] 2. Hee Kyung Seo -5 [68-71-72] T3. Jung Eun Lee -2 [70-71-73] T3. I have more to say about the 2011 US Women's Open playoff later on my blog but since they spoke on the telecast about the previous playoff Ryu and Seo had I figured I'd refresh the thread we did right here on mylpga.com covering that tournament. We cover it all here! :)
