Most of us are friends here, as DB says. The common bond is our love of the LPGA. I'm sure that I'd like most of the posters here if I met them in person. A few, I'd have a hard time warming up to even if we were cremated together.

And would you believe, during the big argument about the "politics" I was talking about...The Marine and I were in the opposite side of the fence and Blue was one of my allies. But look at us now. We even exchange jokes and get in touch through e-mails once in a while and became good friends.
I told you so...$hit can happen!

Agreed, MP. It's the LPGA that binds us, if you will. But after some of the things I saw last week, I may need the collective strength of the family to forget and carry on.
I think Auntie Asshat should be tied to an anchor and be dropped in the middle of the Indian Ocean where the sun never shined!

I'll bet the first thing Ledbetter taught you was to reach for your wallet with your left hand.

You forgot about another responsibility of a moderator.

To be able to lock down a thread at their discretion.

e.g.) In the Introduction section, I started a 'Hi' thread. Blue and another member get into a spat and at her discretion locks down the thread so others cannot post to welcome me to mylpga.com.

Wrong.

Threads are only locked by Rusty or if Rusty orders a moderator to lock a thread.

Rusty owns the site, and his rules are basically the law of the land.
The job is also to use common sense when complaints are reported.

Caving to LoJo's complaint about the use of the word Wiener was not using common sense. Too bad also that LoJo didn't show up to defend her position but let other people do her dirty work.

Don't forget, you might get what you wish for, Blue, though why anyone needs to justify their actions to you I have no idea.

While I didn't complain about the word, you could still pick up it was said in a derisive and sarcastic way. I should have commented, but didn't. Another time I will put fingers to keys, and I'll send you a copy just so you're kept in the loop and feel important.

If, as a moderator, you take the attitude that these things are trivial and beneath you, is it any wonder you are not the one approached.
