A little info on AM accomplisment
Not usually one to boast but letting community know that MPFan recently won the NC Womans Golf Association Women's Amateur at Porter's Neck, Wilmington NC. 29 straight holes without a bogey and a spectacular walk-off eagle on the final hole! Course is a Fazio with fast greens and lots of pins were on the ridges. MPFan and twin sister LPGAFan132 will play at VA Tech in 2016. They have been pretty busy the past year so they are not on the forum much these days.

Congratulations! Are either of the girls planning to play college golf?

This is fantastic news! Congratulations to both Sarah and Jessica. Good luck to them both at Virginia Tech.

Blue -- They both have committed to play at Virginia Tech in 2016. Their overall scoring averages have tended to be almost identical throughout their careers..

Way to go...my cousin is a big supporter of the Girls Va Tech golf Team.....his name is Chuck Parron. I'm a ECU ,ArGGGGH!,alumni and he is a Techi, alumni. Did the girls win any of the Junior events in the Carolinas under Vicki Disantis? I have been out of the loop for years. Congrats....

Jessica won the Carolina's Girls at Hope Valley last year and is the reining Carolinas Jr. Player of the Year. Sarah won Vicki's Jr. Tournament at Whispering Pines a few years ago and was 2nd in last years North-South Jr at Pinehurst #6. They played in the Carolinas-Virgina Team matches last year at Olde Mill in Laurel Fork, Virginia (what a beautiful course). Vicki is a big part of that. They have been very successful on the Peggy Kirk Bell Tour (which is supported by the LPGA) over the years. We chose to not go the AJGA route but stay more regional and the PKB tour has become a great place for girls to compete in a girls-only environment.

:ani_laugh: Gxer won't be able to read this. His wife tied him to a chair...the reason why he hasn't been around lately. :5:
