| Senior Member | SJX said - As far as I'm concerned, the sooner she's gone, the better. Should work, Bivens gets richer and a chance to try elsewere.... the players get a new leader, and maybe lessen the fear of a lost occupation.... and most fans are happy for the rest of the year as hope revives.... and the media has a topic to stretch event to event, with no dead air space. Should work. ;-) Humm.... I wonder which worked best in the start of her last name.... the Bi, as in buy into.... or the Bi as in cya baby. Naaa.... just joke-walking over the grave.... I am very giddy for some reason today.... I better have a soda. :-)

Golfnut, neither Mann nor Suggs have anything to lose if the LPGA continues to lose tournaments. Their incomes won't be effected one way or the other. The players who drafted and signed the letter calling for Bivens ouster do, in fact, have a financial interest in what happens. Mann and Suggs are a great part of the LPGA's past, but the players in question are looking to the future.

Thats the giddy part. :-) As to what you talk about with golfnut.... as for moving out Bivens, looks like those who signed a letter could and would if they had to pay her out to see her gone. 1.5 mil is not out of their ball park. ;-) Not so giddy now, had a soda. :)

i disagree with you on this one marinepaul. those players helped to create the lpga. i think they have a much more vested interest and insight into whats going on then any of us here.

Vested interest in the success, no doubt. The have no financial interest, though. That's what the current players are bitching about, and rightly so.

i also trust these respected player's opinions. they still have a lot of involvement with the lpga, particularly suggs. i think they can judge a lot better what is going on than those of us here. after all, they have more of a vested interest than even we do. in addition i also read an article just a few days ago that said rosie jones along with several other players still support bivens, so what does that mean? i think the truth lies somewhere in the middle in this whole fiasco.
