Mines Resort City founder Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew said: "The resort will be one of its kind and it will attract golf tourists worldwide in droves." He was speaking at a dinner hosted for Sorenstam at the Palace of the Golden Horses last night. Present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Haminah Hamidun. Najib expressed his delight that Sorenstam had agreed to design the golf course in Malaysia. "The new golf city will be able to boost tourism in the country." Seems to me like a rather daunting task....three 18 holers and a 9 by 2010!!!!!! I imagine a rather daunting fee, too!!!!! |

For some reason this struck me as funny, thinking about the scuba divers who are employed on Florida golf courses to retrieve balls from ponds, etc. Looks like Annika is going to be very busy, but she's used to that. |
