Post Count

Hey Rusty, are my eyes deceiving me or has my computer put me in the twilight zone. I was stuck at 121 posts for several postings then I saw it go up to 128 then after my "129th" posting it went back to 122. It's a conspiracy! kidding...Thanks Rusty!

Hi Whistling
I have no idea what could of caused this , the search is showing your posts count at 125 which looks correct to me.

Rusty, look at posts 243, 244, and 245 in the infamous "Lets hang Wiefan and Bivens" aka "Bivens Kills Another" thread currently being discussed, as well as my post counts afterwards.

.
Humm my posts in the game, (two different days), give the same total of post numbers 621... maybe that is just an update on every post I make.... if so then it would be hard to trace back my posts by number to see which came first... the date stamp is there, but that is tiny reading to trace back.

You sure there is not some virus lurking in your site.... like the 'downadup' (or so-called Conflicker virus). :-)

I think we had this problem before on the old LPGA forum. For some reason doesn't it keep the number of posts for the entire day then update? I seem to recall there was some reason it doesn't add a number every time you post, perhaps someone else from the 'old days' can remember what it was.

I can run this is you like, however it might have something to do with deleted posts? post count is updated once per hour.

This will recalculate all of your user's post counts based on their CURRENT posts in the database. Do not run this if you have pruned posts, manually changed post counts, or imported from another forum package and you wish to maintain your users' current counts. Your members' post counts will PROBABLY decrease so only run this if you believe you really need to! Once they decrease you cannot bring them back up without restoring your database or manually editing each user. You have been warned!
