Unless you post in the Anything category, please keep your discussions to the point - golf, the LPGA and its players.

For example, if you participate in a players thread you should in most cases only discuss that player. The same goes with the other categories/threads.

No personal attacks are tolerated!

Many thanks for your presence. Your participation is highly appreciated.

I like what I saw on another forum:

No thread-jacking
No thread-crapping

I'd appreciate it if you would give a ballpark definition of "personal attack". For example, if someone would predict that a certain female golfer will pose totally nude in the future, would that constitute a "personal attack"?

Cleo, I think that falls under the category of wishful thinking.

Yeah...Paddyman's wishful thinking!

I hope I did not make a "personal attack" on Paddyman. But if I remember correctly, he was the one who predicted that.

But what the heck...that was just a joke on his part!

Actually I'm not that interested in Natalie Gulbis.

That sounds like a reasonable comment to make about any player.
However if you said, such and such is a complete **** therefore she will probably pose node, that would probably be unsuitable, in my opinion.

In my opinion, any post that unfairly denigrates the reputation of a player could be considered an "attack".
A good way to avoid "personal attacks" is just to write positive posts. They make better reading, anyway!

Exactly!...We should all write positive posts about people on here, whether it is an LPGA player or another poster. It is okay to take a light jab at someone(I see the mods taking jabs at each other on here all the time),but try to keep things civil, and it will be fine.

If you really need to vent your frustrations, there is a board called The Golf Channel Discussion Board where they would welcome you with open arms.
