Hi Danger
No i didn't receive it. The only one i got through the mail was from NTB the other members donated online. Also Elf said he was going to donate, hopefully the same thing didn't happen to him. Sad to hear they are robbing mail. We are pretty good for a couple of years of hosting now.

I was wondering about that 'cause I know if you did, you'd at least acknowledge it. Thanks for letting me know. I still have your address, so rest assure you'll get it. You can apply it for the 3rd year. I'm now back here in the good ole U.S.A.

Being a moderator doesn't mean one can't have opinions....and sometimes strong opinions....and can't argue certain issues with other posters. All of the moderators at one time or another have expressed some opinions which are in conflict with other posters. No problem.

What is a problem is when a moderator becomes part of the problem instead of seeking a quick solution.

Lojo
Well stated.

Rusty: I sinned. I did not sent my contribution. Please tell me again where to send it and I promise I will do it next week (Tomorrow Monday).
Next time you go on vacation, do not tell us until after the fact. Otherwise we may have.....

I assume the "neutral as possible" policy applies to all moderators, not just to me? Rusty, can you please clarify that publicly and also restate what the rules are for moderators? This will go a long way toward not having the kind of disputes that have occurred lately.

Oh for god's sakes!

Wait....you weren't addressing me, you were addressing Rusty. Oh well.

I'll just butt in anyhow. "Neutral as possible" means like how MP and Buzzer do their moderator duties. Capice? Guess not.

One person's neutrality is another's personal attack (for example: Patriot Golf Day)

With a new moderator on board, publicly posting what the rules are for moderators will help the entire board avoid disputes.

100% in agreement. I have been in heated disputes with Buzzer and more often with Marine Paul. It is more than 5 years since one of them closed a thread where I was actively participating and it got out of hand. I still think it was unfair, but.......anyway, I would define both as model moderators.

They should never "remain as neutral as possible, and leave any heated arguments". Because they post with decorum.

I'm glad you agree. The more explicit the guidelines can be, the better.

And welcome aboard to moderating, canadianglen. This is something you actively pursued and I think you'll be very good at it.

It's been no secret that you and I have not always gotten along. Let's call a truce and start fresh today.
