Just to be clear, in the passage above, the phrase "this week" means the LPGA Championship.

"I'm not really sure...[w]ell, I am not really sure. It's hard...[a]nd I guess, yeah, I would choose winning this week."

In a photo finish, the LPGA Championship wins by a nose!
Not true at all because the question was asked after the fact.

If she had been asked before the US Open sectional, given the way she handled the question after the fact, she might have blown a "Wie" gasket trying to figure out how best to answer that question.

Hi ya gxer....if MW was asked this same question BEFORE the sectionals....her answer more than likely would have been the Sectionals.....if she had made the sectionals final 18 and was then asked this same type question....she would say Winning the LPGA tournament

she will pick whatever is in the TIME FRAME of her plate at the time....you should know this....the kid doesn't look ahead at future events....she is too busy concentrating on the one she is in....tsk tsk tsk.....I am seriously thinking of taking back your honorary "Wiemania" badge and I was almost tempted to post on the Golf Channel to Mr.A about your yesterday's achievement....and NO NO NO....you cannot plead "temporary insanity"...have a good day...see ya!!

Wiefan,

Monday proved which was more important to the Wie Team and I don't care what Michelle says after the fact. In addition, given what was going on prior to Monday, you also know that the US Open sectionals were more important to the Wie Team than the LPGA Championship.

Wiefan, it's fine with me if you want to think otherwise, no skin off my nose.

Have a good day.

Another comment she made was "the challenging part about yesterday was not really playing in a lot of 36 hole qualifying rounds."

Has she played any before? The Women's Amateur and Amateur Public Links are both 18 hole sectional qualifying. So i suppose if she'd chosen to qualify for the women's US Open one of those years, she'd have gotten some experience in 36-hole qualifying, and silenced a whole lot of critics at the same time. Oh well.

She played 36 holes in the finals of the Women's Amateur Public Links twice. I know it's difficult for your brain to remember anything positive about Michelle, but there you go.

Funny, I wasn't aware that the finals of the Women's Amateur Public Links was a "qualifying round." You're having trouble reading as usual, Hostile_R.

What difference does it make when the 36 holes occurred? The point was that she's not used to playing 36 holes of competitive golf in one day.
