| Nice to be home? Just wondering if you enjoyed your time back in Europe and particularly Sweden? I guess that's probably a stupid question because I'm sure it's great to get back home for a little while. Are there one or two things in particular that you miss the most and can't wait to have when you get back home? |

I really do love it over here in the States, but going back to Sweden is something I always look forward to. The fact that my family and friends are over there makes a big difference, but other things are special too. The beautiful country-side, the food, the way things smell, the language, etcetera. And something I can't forget to mention is the chocolate!!! I have to have some dark chocolate when I'm home! Something I really appreciate when I'm home is that it's possible to walk almost everywhere. From our house in Gothenburg I can walk to the golf course, walk to the downtown areas, walk to my grandmother and to pretty much all places I need to go. It's a big difference from over here where having a car is close to a necessity. It's hard to pick only a couple of things that make home special, but home cooked food is definitely one of them. It doesn't really matter what it is as long as it's cooked at home and doesn't have a bunch of weird-coloured melted cheese on top of it (I still haven't gotten used to the American cheeses...). See ya

If you're in the NE part of Portland where the airport and the golf course are, you might stop by New Seasons Market-Concordia or Trader Joe's. I'm not from Portland, so I've never been to New Seasons, but Trader Joe's is in my area and they have dark chocolate that is more like European-style. http://www.newseasonsmarket.com/stores/locations.shtml http://traderjoes.com/locations/map/144.asp |
